Nation’s largest customer-owned health insurance company serving over 14 million members rolls out MedeAnalytics’ next generation Employer Reporting solution

Emeryville, Calif. – (September 24, 2015) MedeAnalytics, a pioneer in healthcare analytics, today announced its next generation Employer Reporting solution, which offers health plans, employers, brokers and consultants data insights, interactive benefit modeling and customizable reports to understand the drivers of healthcare costs and communicate value to employer groups. Leveraging MedeAnalytics’ robust analytics platform, the intuitive user interface empowers health plans with the ability to engage in more personalized, interactive dialogue with employer groups during renewal and prospect discussions.

This new version has already positively impacted health care. The nation’s largest customer-owned health plan, covering more than 14 million lives, selected MedeAnalytics’ Employer Reporting 4.0 in Q4 of 2014 to improve employer satisfaction and better communicate its value to its customers. This customer began using it internally in Q2 of 2015 and rolled it out externally to several thousand customers in Q3. MedeAnalytics’ proven implementation methodology successfully navigated tremendous data volumes, a dozen successfully delivered roadmap items and the needs of thousands of multi-state stakeholders.

“Health plans are constantly pushing the envelope on ways to better engage with their employers, brokers and consultants. Our enhanced solution is a direct result of working closely with our clients to deliver new features and capabilities based upon their feedback,” said Emmet O’Gara, MedeAnalytics’ Vice President Business Development, Payer Solutions business unit. “MedeAnalytics’ flexibility and agility ensures that we’re evolving with market trends as they are happening, whether it be the transition to more consumer-driven plans or advanced reporting requirements.”

In total, Employer Reporting 4.0 offers several advantages over competing solutions: a 5x improvement in timeliness — down from many days to 48 hours — a 60x improvement in performance, improved ease-of-use and true integration with MedeAnalytics’ other enterprise solutions. By implementing a single source of truth with a unified interface across the enterprise, they can ensure that employers, providers and all stakeholders receive the same information, regardless of department.

New features include:

  • Advanced spec and aggregate limit stop-loss reporting, requiring only three clicks;
  • Scheduled reporting which automates the production of tens of thousands of complex reports containing tables, charts and dynamic text;
  • Custom cohort analysis that enables an end user to create an arbitrary cohort of anything and analyze its experience over any time frame over any criteria; and
  • Mobile interface compatible with iPhone, iPad and Android systems for complete anywhere, anytime reporting and collaboration.

Most customers implementing Employer Reporting 4.0 have also implemented its mobile extension, MedeAnalytics Benefit Modeler. This mobile application revolutionizes renewal and consultative sales discussions with employers. Rather than slogging through an 80-page static document, health plan representatives and employers explore the customer’s experience interactively, using client-specific data, and enabling the creation of more tailored plans that specifically meet members’ needs.
