Terry Fouts, M.D.
Tenure: 8 years
Dr. Terry Fouts joined MedeAnalytics in 2008 as Chief Medical Officer with a leadership role guiding the strategic development of MedeAnalytics’ clinical products and services.
Before joining MedeAnalytics, he served as a medical executive for healthcare providers and major health plans, including Health Net, Great-West Healthcare, Aetna and Cigna, developing policy, wellness and disease management programs, and quality initiatives, as well as guiding product development. He has been responsible for managing national and international programs to reduce medical costs and strengthen health operations. Dr. Fouts’ medical executive career follows a 19-year career as a practicing internist.
Dr. Fouts received a Bachelor of Arts and MD from the University of Kansas.

Irene Wong joined MedeAnalytics in 2008 supporting the provider business as an implementation manager. Since then, she has held multiple roles at the company, including managing the daily account operations for West Coast providers, directing new implementations in the UK for the NHS, and helping clients transition from a static to analytics driven reporting culture. In her current role as a Director in MedeAnalytics’ consulting practice, she uses her provider and payer experience, combined with her analytical knowledge, to identify improvement opportunities within the business.
Irene has significant experience with commercial and Medicaid plans, understanding business needs and empowering data-driven decision-making. She also specializes in helping clients identify potential opportunities in reducing costs and increasing efficiency. Prior to joining MedeAnalytics, Irene worked at Stockamp & Associates, Inc. (now Huron Healthcare) as a consultant in the Patient Progression® service line supporting acute hospitals and health systems. While at Stockamp, she specialized in discharge planning, ancillary support services to improve efficiency and quality of care.
Irene earned her Master of Health Services Administration from The University of Michigan after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Economics, with a concentration in Management Science, from the University of California, San Diego.

Daniel Sherer has over 30 years of experience in the information technology field, including 18 years delivering analytical systems for US-based health insurance companies. In Daniel’s role as Associate Vice President in MedeAnalytics’ consulting services team, he leads multiple virtual teams involving product standardization, consulting and solution delivery to identify opportunities to improve care and efficiency. He also supports the MedeAnalytics’ payer business team and provides leadership and technical oversight for all payer clients.
Before joining MedeAnalytics, Daniel was the Data Warehouse Manager for Analytics and Reporting at Health Net, Inc. He also previously worked as a Senior Engineer in the Executive Information Systems for Wellpoint.
Daniel received training in Information Systems from the United States Air Force and was the top graduate in his NCO Leadership class. Throughout both his military and civilian career he has continued both formal and situational training.

Brenda Turner has more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare compliance industry. Previously, she worked as a Compliance Officer at St. Vincent Catholic Medical Center as well as New York City’s Health and Hospital Corporation developing effective compliance programs including written policy and procedures, training and education, audit work plans focused on proactive risk assessment, and timely governmental audit response.
In her role at MedeAnalytics, Brenda serves as the Compliance Subject Matter Expert where assists clients with enhancing their compliance programs plans through data analysis, participates in client executive meetings to develop departmental initiative collaborations and provides guidance to our product development product management, client support, and sales teams.
Brenda attended Montclair State University. She is an active member of the Healthcare Compliance Association and is certified in healthcare compliance (CHC).
Lance De Peralta
Tenure: 5 years
With 15 years of experience in healthcare, Lance De Peralta’s areas of knowledge and expertise include client consulting, project management, program and account management, business and data analysis, business process improvement and programming. Lance joined MedeAnalytics in 2011. As a Director for MedeAnalytics’ consulting services team, Lance uses his diverse skillset to engage with and deliver superior results to his clients.
Prior to joining MedeAnalytics, Lance worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA), where he specialized in account informatics, including managing the company’s account informatics unit. While at BCBSMA, he oversaw and served as a subject matter expert on key initiatives including an internal web-based employer reporting production system, a workflow application for the sales division, a healthcare analytics tool for brokers and employer groups, and an account analytics reporting package to better engage clients.
Lance received his Bachelor of Arts from Boston University with a dual concentration in philosophy and political science.

Tom Wadsworth joined MedeAnalytics in 2013 as Senior Vice President, supporting product development and subject matter experts. Tom has over 30 years of healthcare management experience, predominantly on the theme of applying analytics to drive alignment, accountability, and performance improvement in health systems.
Prior to joining MedeAnalytics, Tom worked at Ernst & Young, Mercy Health Services, and the Cleveland Clinic. In Executive Administration at the Cleveland Clinic for 18 years, Tom led provider-based initiatives to improve financial, operational, clinical, and patient experience outcomes. Sample net income improvements include:

- Hospital Throughput & Capacity ($25 million over three years)

Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a Masters of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University. He has presented to over two dozen national and international conferences and published several articles on the topic of using analytics to drive strategy and performance.

Vanessa Griggley-Owens has an extensive background in health information management, revenue cycle, risk adjustment and compliance. She has successfully led large cross-functional initiatives in patient-centric organizations providing fiscal, strategic and operations leadership. Her experience encompasses all aspects of healthcare management, including provider and payer.
Prior to joining MedeAnalytics, Vanessa worked at Health Care Services Corporation (HCSC) as the Director of Risk Adjustment leading the team responsible for analytics, auditing and surveillance of healthcare providers. Previously, she worked at Deloitte & Touch and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Vanessa earned her MBA from the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University with a concentration in Business Management for Health Care. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She also holds the RHIA credential through the American Health Information Management Association and the CHC credential through the Health Care Compliance Association.

Jon Brunsberg brings more than 25 years of healthcare consulting experience working with payers and providers on actuarial, underwriting and analytics issues to his role as Vice President in MedeAnalytics’ consulting services team.
Before joining MedeAnalytics in 2014, Jon was Vice President of Analytics for Excelsior Solutions, a consulting firm specializing in managing pharmacy costs for payer clients. Prior to that, Jon worked with Reden & Anders, an Ingenix (now Optum) consulting unit, for 14 years including serving in the role of Chief Operating Officer for the business unit. Jon’s background includes developing standardized reporting, benchmarking, reimbursement contracting, benefit pricing and data models. He has significant experience with commercial, Medicare and Medicaid programs.
Jon earned his Master in Business Administration from The Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota with a concentration in Management Information Systems after receiving a Bachelor of Arts from Gustavus Adolphus College with degrees in mathematics and business.
